From the start of his track career, Ryan has been newsworthy. As a young charger starting out in the Porsche 924 Championship, Ryan was singled out as a find of the season in the motorsport press before going on to the win the championship.
Ryan was headline news again in 2003 when he headed Down Under to compete in the Bathurst 24Hour Race.
