RYAN HOOKER: A RESHUFFLE AS THE FOCUS SHIFTS TO 2005
Ryan Hooker is making alterations to the final section of his season to consolidate efforts for a further campaign in British GT in 2005. Ryan has driven for Team Jensen in the British GT Cup Class in 2004 but has taken the decision to withdraw from the final two races of the calendar (Thruxton and Brands Hatch).
"2004 has been an intensive learning curve, at times frustrating but there have also been many positive aspects to take away" says Ryan. "We always knew the Corvette would be a work in progress and it has proved to be a slow but sure development. I am pleased to have been part of the development and hope that I have proved not only that I can drive a car to its full potential but also provide valuable feedback to the team. I have enjoyed working with Team Jensen and thank them for the many hours of hard work they have put in."
"Realistically I feel the next two circuits will not favour the Corvette. I feel it is more beneficial in the long term if I withdraw from the final two rounds allowing myself to consolidate my backing as we look to 2005. I visualise now as being the start of my 2005 campaign as we look at all the options available. One of the strongest things I have learnt this year is my desire and commitment to stay within GT Racing and to progress up the field to be a front runner."
Energies are now being concentrated on securing a competitive GT drive for 2005 for this talented and proven young driver whose full potential is still to be demonstrated. Ryan can be contacted at ryan@ryanhooker-racing.co.uk
